Did you receive NOW subsidy for the second application period (June, July, August and September 2020)? Employers then had until 31 March 2022 to request the final calculation. Employers who failed to do so had to repay the advance they received.
Employers who received a NOW advance had to request the final calculation to avoid having to repay it. The final calculation is based on the actual loss of revenue and the actual wage bill the business had over the relevant period. This determines whether the employer rightly received the NOW advance, must repay (part of) it, or will still receive an additional payment. A six-week payment term applies to any repayment, for which a payment plan could be arranged with the UWV.
If an employer needed more time to submit the required third-party or auditor’s statement, an extension could be requested from the UWV before 31 March 2022.
