Summarily fired for touching colleague’s breasts

The employee touched a colleague’s breasts twice while telling a riddle. The employee’s conduct resulted in an impermissible violation of that colleague’s physical and mental integrity. The employee was rightly fired.

Maximum transition payment increased

As of Jan. 1, 2023, the maximum severance pay is €89,000 gross or one gross annual salary, whichever is greater.

Employee summarily dismissed for false statements about illness

The employee made false and incomplete statements about the severity of his limitations and work opportunities during illness and lied to the employer. The employee was rightly summarily dismissed. He had to pay fixed damages of €3,255.92 to the employer.

State pension age to rise in 2028

For calendar years 2024 to 2027, the state pension age remains 67.

Discriminatory probationary dismissal

The district judge ruled that the probationary dismissal was inseparable from the employee’s illness. The employer violated the Disability or Chronic Illness Equal Treatment Act. It is a discriminatory termination. The employee is entitled to fair compensation of one year’s salary.
